Getting a pretty good snow here right now and all I can say is.
The stock BFG TA's that come on the OR package officiallY Suckass in deep snow!!
Sad thing is that the Duplops that come with the Sport package are ten times worse in the snow. I almost envy your stock tires.

I am officially revising my opinion on the Dunlops. Last storm a couple of weeks ago, no problems. This stuff, as deep as it is... If it gets over four or five, forget it. And we're at over a foot now. Took me an hour to dig it into the garage, and at one point all four wheels were off the ground (got out of the tracks in the middle and onto the side in front of the driveway). Not that any tire is really going to help much with that.

No, what I need right now are some of these: http://www.mattracks.com/ I wonder how ridiculously expensive they are. :D

We've had the least amount of snow ever on record, so please send the snow this way, we're are dying on the east coast!

Just be glad you have those crappy BFG TA's. They are still better than the Dunlop AT20's or B-stone H/T's on the SR5's and TRD Sport's.

I don't know...My stock Rugged Trails did just fine, and I had to drive through the thick of this blizzard on Wednesday, and dealt with the aftermath yesterday. Farking airline cancelled the flights I was supposed to operate AFTER I drove 45 miles to the airport. Just left it in 4hi and plowed through 2.5 foot drifts with aplomb. About to snowshoe 1/2 mile out to where my truck is parked to go back to work. Try to commit aviation again today.

Of course, none of this post should be contstrued to think I'm not going to buy some A/Ts just as soon as possible.
