I have purchased a 2005 Solara convertible with the JBL radio, CD and NAV system and have an issue with the radio.
When the car is turned on, most of the time, the radio exhibits a static or hissing sound as if it is not tuned to a station.
Turning the radio off then on, sometimes once, sometimes multiple times and then the radio works normally.
The CD and other functions work just fine.
I thought it might be the switch for the amp boost when the top is down but I have disconnected the switch with the same results.
Any suggestions?
