some of you might be thinking of doing this mod...

i was trying to google eyelids when i ran across this pic and recognized the background til i realized its my car... and the product they're selling is not the mod in the pic...

this is the original pic with my license plate...

and the mod that i did was this... which was done by clintj, which is also more AFFORDABLE than the product that they are selling!

i just remember posting this picture at the post pictures of your corolla thread...

Send a request for them to remove the photo or send you some $$$. Unless you have given them permission to use your photo.
 Now that's funny. Tell em pay up or get sued.
i didn't give them permission to use this photo... i'll send them a message about that...
Ha! They even watermarked it as if it was their own.
wow they even did a hella bad job photoshopping the license plate off....u can c some black from the upper grille in the red and its not even smooth
wow..makes me wonder how many of my pixs were actually stolen and posted by other sites as "original" daamn get money out of em haha
Oh yeah, x2 for "pay up or get sued." Open and closed case if it ever went to court.
Report them for Copyright infringement to the site owner for (eCrater):
That's ridiculous. Flood them with e-mails. Haha. This kind of hints at the fact we should start up a sticky on cheats, lies, and scams.
worst ps ever! so their trying to sell angel eyes with some generic fogs...great.
sue their *$$. thats your photo and they cant legally just use it
Cant really get shit for it, but thanks for the heads up. I constantly found my WRX on eBay ads that were selling products that I didn't even have on the car. Best you can do is tell them to pull it down and hope they go find someone elses pic to use.
Here is the Email they sent to me when I inquired about the picture

We rely on customers to donate photos then we remove the license plate for there privacy. We pay customers for such photos and occassionally people send photos that do not belong to them in order to receive the payout but it is uncommon. If you are the owner of the photo and wish to have it removed just let me know. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for having brought it to my attention. If we can continue to use the photo with your permission I can compensate you for it. Let me know either way so the problem can be resolved immediately. thank you

Do you guys always canvass the internet for pictures of Cars with modded Fogs, and then try to sell your product based on their pictures to trick buyers into purchasing your product that will not have the same end result?

Clearly you did not ask for the owner's permission to use their picture.

Get that money!
At least they gave you a response. Take the $5

Sounded like a generic reply. I'd still be pissed. Especially that they can't even own up and say it isn't even their product... ripoffs :headbang:
got the same reply like sinnaever, i already asked them how much compensation are we talking about... lol! i also sent an email to ecrater about DMCA for copyright infringement... so maybe that got their ass to look up all the emails i sent them yesterday! lolz
