just got a 2003 mr2 , no owners manual

I think I have everything figured out ... except there is a key switch on the drivers side floor between the seat and the door . The ignition key fits in it , it has a locked and unlock position . Can someone please tell me what its for . I have looked for a owners manual but it seems everyone wont's to rip you off to the tune of $80 plus bucks for a used one !!

If im not mistaken thats probably either to lock the gas tank or engine lid.

I have a 2001..Brian is correct. It locks the engine lid.

thanks I got it from Toyota ( the owners manual it was 12.00 bucks ! )
