It can mess up ur system, because if u want to change the air intake, u gotta change ur exhaust system too. The air intake take more air into ur car, it must be take more air out.
Here is my formula: more air in, more air out.
More air in, less air out ----> blow up ur car

send them an e-mail for possible release otherwise you can pick up a scion tc short ram and modify it.

the only thing that messes up the system is incorrect mass air flow readings or a vaccuum leak. an aftermarket intake will not blow up the car but will improve response, sound, performance. Aftermarket intakes have been fitted to cars since fuel injection was introduced. A wrong mass air flow housing will change the gram rate of the sensor leading to fuel trim concerns. (hesitation, check engine light, poor milage) Who taught you this information? If its a friend slap them upside the head for me. I don't think i've ever owned a vehicle without at least an intake.

Changing the exhaust system does what compared to the intake or engine? it changes turbulance and flow for increased power. there is no parameters that are metered on a cat-back unless the catalyst or exhaust manifold are modified. And an aftermarket cat-back will do no harm to a car with a factory intake.
