One of the 22re guys will have to help you with the location - I have the V6. But the code does not diagnose a short or open circuit in the sensor, it diagnoses a short or open circuit in the sensor circuit. It could be the sensor, but often the problem is the connection to the sensor. Knock sensors in particular are a rare failure point, but it's not uncommon for connectors to get corroded. However, if the connector is okay, it is possible the sensor could be bad.

I got some what of a manual at the shop I work at. It's a computer program call mitchel. It will tell you step by step on how take anything on a car apart, wiring diagrams, and how to test or diasnosis problems and etc. Just sometimes it won't show me a picture on the location of certin things and says dealer service only. That's why I posted this up to see if anyone can help me find which sensor on the engine is the knock sensor. I got it down to 4 places that it could be. Anyways thank again for your guys help
