Preface: Lasfit gave me a set of floor liners in exchange for my unbiased review. I want to be upfront about that because it may not change what I will say in regards to reviewing their product, but it does put me in a situation where I am going to say some really good or bad things about a product that I may not have chosen to purchase in comparison to other competing products.

Initial impressions: The packaging is simple and the mats arrived undamaged. These mats are made from TPE which is the premium material for this application due to its unique combination of durability and soft/supple surface. There are plastic inserts on the drivers mat for the hold downs and for some reason there are blank plastic inserts on the other mats.

I did notice that the drivers hold down points are assembled crooked. The matching toggles in the car have detents at the horizontal and vertical positions making it so they don't line up perfectly with the poorly installed slots in the mats. This is a minor annoyance when installing the mats but definitely gives me the impression that production quality is terrible when it comes to manual operations being performed.

Additionally, the LASFIT logo is laminated/embossed into the mat in a way that looks perfect from the front but I question how well it will hold up based on how it is reinforced from the rear.

Installation: The Lasfit mats offer substantially better coverage than both the OEM carpeted and all weather mats. The fit in the vehicle was flawless with only the misaligned inserts on for the drivers mat hold down being of note. The dead pedal is completely covered and the mats wrap around the carpet and onto the trim on all sides leaving no exposed carpet.

I Drive a Limited Platinum trim and the rear mats are a perfect fit with the captains chair configuration. I was concerned about this because there is only one option for the second row mats. I do not know if the fit would be the same with a second row bench configuration. Note the plastic blanks that bother me because I don't know why they are required.

Impressions after some use: After three weeks of use I decided it was time to evaluate how they performed and what I liked or disliked about them. The first thing I noticed is that footprints show up very easily. They will never hide dirt like cloth mats do. I would not ever expect them to look like they were just cleaned. The first time your foot touches them you will see the print.

I am impressed at how soft the material is under your feet. We go on a fair number of long trips every year (4-12 hour away) and I would always replace my all weather mats with carpet just so the family could take off their shoes for the trip. I’m quite pleased that these are comfortable enough to pass the barefoot test.
The mats did not become slippery when wet. I was quite pleased by this as they will be wet pretty much continuously throughout the winter.

Cleanup: My cleaning of the mats consisted of a spray and wipe with Meguiar’s all purpose cleaner (APC) and a wipe down with a microfiber towel. Lasfits cleaning instructions specify the use of only a damp cloth. It goes further to say “Do not use any other household cleaners such as, but not limited to, window cleaners, floor cleaners, polishes, or all-purpose cleaners.” The APC that I used is for automotive use and is safe for TPE ate the 10:1 ratio used. YMMV as far as cleaning products.

The smooth texture of the mats made it so a spray and wipe was all that was needed to remove the dirt but it was not sufficient to get into the narrow channels that are molded into the mats. I had to go back with a brush to agitate the residue left in the channels. This is one area where I much prefer the Weathertech mats. I detail my car on a monthly basis and having small channels and grooves adds significant time to getting a good result when cleaning. Having said that, the OEM all weather mats are much more difficult to clean than these LASFITs due to the endless deep channels.

Conclusion: These mats really are fantastic and a fantastic value (If I would have paid for them). The bottom line is that they look great and perform great. I would definitely recommend this product based on my experience. I’m impressed with the fit and coverage of main TPE matt, it is perfect. I am not impressed that the inserts are crooked. When I see a quality control issue on something so simple, I worry that others who are paying good money will have an even worse issue with their product.

When it comes down to it price wise, it’s ganna be hard to convince users over the factory liner.

I was surprised to see Lasfit a floor liner vendor now. Personally went with the factory liner.

This does beat out the carpet and regular floor mats IMO

I have the OEM carpet and the the OEM all weather and I can assure you these are on another level. These are made to compete with high end liners like Weathertech.
Is there a factory Weathertech style liner that I’m not aware of?

Yes there are three types you can get from factory. Carpet, all weather, and all weather liner.

I have the Liners from factory for my RX which is pretty much Highlander in sheeps clothing

My Toyota all-weather floor liners warped on the front passenger side along the door sill after two years, leaving a big gap. They were replaced with 3D MAXpider All-Weather Floor Mats.

I’ve seen those as well. Looked like they spent extra time on their products. Higher lining design. Do you have pictures of yours? I want to see the actual product, only ever seen online renders.

I don’t expect mine to shrink. My RX is garaged at home. What I do is against manufacturer recommendation. I double stack with the first layer as carpet and the liner on top. W/ an exception of the driver floor which is only liner for safety. The carpet pushes the liner edges out more I feel. I like the double stack simply because it helps absorb any spills. They are easily removed and wet-vac’d if need be. Saves from having damaged the stock carpet.

That "LAS-FIT" Logo looks to be a "dual-injected" (Brain is not working today), which is a very well established method of manufacture. It's reliable, and long lasting, if done right, as the second injection will usually slightly melt the contact edge, and "blend" the materials, so it performs like a single injection. The ribbing on the back likely is just from the mold/give it a little more coverage. This isn't like on power tools, where the TPE eventually delams from the ABS/Nylon, as they are totally different materials that are basically glued together. (I know a lot of tool makers now "stake" the TPE to the tool, but it still is 2 materials that act different, and eventually split.)
