The link in the pdf only works if you have a higher priced account with TIS. I do not have such an account.

If someone else does, they could download the files for us.

Open the attached document for details.

Note that the update is free (from your Toyota dealer) for 36 months/36,000 miles.
Reading the attached document.
This update seem to be for 2016-17 Camry, Camry HV, Corolla,
Prius C, RAV4, RAV4 HV only. not made for 2014-15 Corolla!?!?

Yeah, you'd have to be logged in to TIS, and I'm not sure, but I would guess that you can't get the update with just a temporary or limited subscription. I'm a tech, and I just updated a Camry HV last week so I have these downloaded to my flash drive. I can't just give them out, though.

I could not download using the cheapest two day account ($15).

The next higher account may work ($55 for two days) but I was not willing to risk it.

I can share the files from another hosting site...if I only had them....,

Out of everything on the list, the only thing I've noticed has been intermittent reboots.

One thing it has done that isn't listed is occasionally, the audio will turn off and back on (not restarting, just like someone hitting the mute button for a second or two). Changing from AM to FM to XM does not change the frequency... I have to reboot to get normal audio back.

Really hate to go to the dealer though :(

Any updates on this yet?
Having two vehicles (both in warranty but) I would really prefer to DIY than to go through the 3 hour dealership ordeal.

Hey guys,

i have a question. I just bought my Corolla and i did a software update without having to go to the dealer ship. Is this the same as going to the dealer ship or no?

The OTA update through your phone is not the same.

This sould be cover be warranty!?!?!?

400$ is to mutch for 15 minuttes of work!!!!

If warranty ended, they should charge no more than one hour of work!?!?!?

Sincerly yours

My car is definitely under warranty, it's a 2017 Corolla SE. My dealer said that the update wasn't covered under the warranty.

I'm in the US. I need to find out if the update is actually covered by the warranty or not. The dealer could be wrong but I'd like to be able to prove it to them if they are.

I just re-read the TSB and the update is covered under the basic 3 year 36k mile warranty. I'm heading back to the dealership!
