I live int he Houston area and when I purchased my Taco there wasn't a leather option. Is there now? If not, is there an after market place in the Houston area?

Actually, if you had asked your dealer, they could have gotten you the leather upgrade. They'll send your truck to another shop to have it done. I would ask your dealer. A better option would be to try Westside Upholstery in Houston. We have TN member from the Houston area that had his leather done there. Very nice too.

I would never put leather in my truck. I hate how it cracks and fades over time. If I did anything to the seats I'd for for some Wet Okale (or however its spelled) seat covers.

Edit: I agree with your title. Hillary Clinton would mean the end of America as we know it.

I'm having leather done on my taco here in Salt Lake. I've been quoted about $1400 heated from a few places including the dealer. I'll post pics when the truck is delivered.

Go here and you can see all the options of the tacoma's and what region you can get them in and how much it costs the dealer and how much they are charging you and how much they are making.. maybe it's old news though.. i like it..

What they said above...

Finding out who dealers use is always a good start. In the Sacramento area (and all surrounding areas around here), all the dealers use this one company for just about everything (factory alarms, dvd players, leather seats, heated seats, etc).

They're a great company to work with. Maybe you can find something similar locally.

Oh, ya! I seen a 08' 4 door tacoma the other day at a dealership, it was sold I guess just got shipped in but all black, the OffRoad pkg with the black wheels I forgot the name of that one with the mountains as the graphics with all black leather seats and a sun roof, lifted some, jbl radio, auto, loaded, all the accessories you can think of.. I bet on a 30K regular 4 door truck he added on 7K in extras before he even drove it..

icon coilovers, idk what leafs, 32's bfg a/t, stock rims, sun roof, leather, bed mat, bed extender, vent visors, hood visor thing, skid plates, dvd player(too dark to see what kind), tinted windows, toyo guard underneath, pretty nice..

I own't own a black truck though.. white or silver for me.. Easier to keep clean:D

Last december I got a good deal on ebay for a set of Katzkin leather for my tacoma (gray tuscany leather) for 300 dlls shipped, and after looking around for a shop to install them (prices for install from 450 to 600 dlls) I decided to give it a try and install them myself, it took me around 8 to 9 hrs but they where not a big problem to install, (I used zip ties instead of the metal rings as recommended on one website I looked to give me an idea of the installation), I use to have leather on my Yukon and like it a lot, I just have pending the arm rests, but for those I woul like to buy a piece of dark gray or black leather, not the gray ones that came with the set, and besides, they are vinyl, not leather.

I had my dealer get mine done and they sent it to a shop they use. Turned out pretty well. I'll never have a car without leather...much easier to keep clean IMO and you never have to worry about it smelling bad.
