Same question from me. Like an idiot, I drove 4 hours on the weekend wearing a brand new, never washed, pair of blue jeans. My ventilated caramel-colored seats now have a trace of blue. I never thought about this before because my previous cars had black leather seats. I worry that if I try some of the advice I read on this forum (high-quality cleaner and a leather scrub brush) that I will just change my seats to a swirly blue trace. I am also not sure what happens if the cleaner goes into the vent holes in the seats. I'm tempted to just leave it for a bit to see if it wears off.

A decent quality leather cleaner and a light application of a magic eraser will remove it just fine. Spray the cleaner on a wet eraser, not the seat and keep the pressure light. After it’s clean and wiped dry, apply a good leather protectant and this will help keep them clean as well as make cleaning easier in the future.

This worked wonders on an Avalon I just bought that hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years.

Well, all well and good BUT here is the BIG question:

How does one PREVENT the leather seats from absorbing the color?

And I don’t mean, don’t wear jeans.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. - B Franklin

Thank you
