Leather seat swap?

3740 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Milky
Has anyone done a leather interior in their corolla? Mine is a 2000, and I'm contemplating swapping it for a leather one if it won't cost a fortune. Will the seats from a Camry fit in this car? How about maybe seats from a different year Corolla? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to ToyotaNation!

Your best bet is to get the stock seats reupholstered at a shop that specializes in auto interiors.

Any swapping of seats will require welding and fabrication of custom seat rails and mounts.

A few years back I have a 1995 Camry, I put leather seats from an ES300 in it - bolted in perfectly. I'd rather not pay an upolstry shop, was just curious if there were any applications that bolt right into this vehicle. Thanks!

I think the ES300's seat fit perfectly because the ES is the same as a camry just Lexus

If you want to get the leather.....I think you can get covers that you can put on yourself....some are very high quality but those I think require you to take off the original cloth covers
it only take a little bit of grinding and welding to swap in a leather 7th gen celica seat. just swap the rail mounts from the corolla rails to the celica rails.

or if you want to go baller status you could try doing the same with some is300 seats. the suede/leather ones are pure win in my opinion.
Milky - do you know if the is300 would be a direct swap?

to my knowledge it is not a direct swap. i want a set of front and rear is300 seats for my corolla. so ill eventually get a set to swap in.
Aren't leather interiors and wood panel standard for our cars?

no, leather and wood is not even an option in the north american market to my knowledge.
