I need to repair some cracks in my Camry/Aurion 2013. It has black leather seats. I just got confused with its leather finish, it is either matt or satin black. I am trying to colour match the more accurate the better results will be. At the moment I am considering Colourlock from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Colourlock/b...982011&field-lbr_brands_browse-bin=Colourlock

https://www.colourlock.com/gld-pen-40-ml.html

I've contacted them and they advise me on the following:

Thank you for getting in touch. You will need the following products:

1 x Cleaning Spirit 225ml (to degrease the surface first)
1 x Leather Sanding Pad
1 x Liquid Leather Neutral
1 x GLD Pen
1 x F034 (it comes in satin finish as standard and whilst we offer a matt version we do not offer this on Amazon just yet. We can get one for you but we would have to mix the colour specially and you will have to order differently)

I suggest you check out the items and if you decide to pursue this further, I will advise on next steps. I hope this sounds suitable.

Best Regards,

I was also considering Fiebing's Leather Dye

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HHM20...olid=I4G0AJBP7MFQ&coliid=I12CKSD71LTIYV&psc=1

Fiebing's Acrylic Resolene

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VQUCO3...olid=I4G0AJBP7MFQ&coliid=I2URR05QXZZ9UO&psc=1

I could see feedback from other people that most of the dye finishes give a gloss look, I don't think that seats in my Aurion have a gloss finish, to me it is more like matt or satin.

What do you think???

Never tried leather repair in car. When we did our sofa, we (ok, wife did) saw how it was done. We needed large area. Seems they have a really fine spray and they matched the beige color dye. Wife said they mentioned how the kits are and what they end up being. She said that darker color is better, which in your case is good. In the Lexus forum someone had mentioned SEM leather products for crack filling and repair.

Agree with 300mag. See how much it costs for those products and compare with the shop.

I have been working with leather for years.
First, you cannot "fill" leather cracks.
Secondly, Toyota leather seats are only real leather in the center sections. The rest is vinyl.
Vinyl is a different repair.

Good to know. I have not tried anything on avalon leather except for good cleaning and conditioning. I know I have a few creases which may develop into cracks, esp Honda full real leather seats I also have. I will not waste time looking at products that mention "crack" fixes.
