I never understood why there was the trueno and the levin. If you look at a 1999 levin BZ-R and a same year trueno BZ-R, there are only minor differences. Why did toyota do this? what's the difference between the two?

the levins and truenos were pretty different up to the ae111's, then they just had subtle differences. aside from minor body tweaks there isnt really anything different.

yeah it came down to basically whether you liked your name to be called "Levin" or "Trueno" hahah.
