"WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Just absolutely insane! :yikes:Sounds like a ZR1 on 'roids. Looks
like the commercial
The women's reaction said it all. Totally opposite to a muscle car sound.

Yeah, LFA sound is brewing up a storm now.

Pure F1 racing car sound. Just about the best sounding super car today next to Porsche Carrera GT. Simply mind blowing.

I agree, the Zonda F is nice sounding.

This car is too! Good videos
Carrera GT with a straight pipe exhaust system (the owner of this car recently died):

LFA is a much higher revving car with another 1000 rpm (8500 rpm vs 9500 rpm) so it screams alot higher and much closer to F1 racing car. Yamaha acoustic engineers did a wonderful job tuning the LFA engine acoustics to make it identical to an F1 racing car sound. Scream of an angel is the proper term for it like Lexus calls it.

All the track tests rave about the LFA sound (Tiff Needel, Thomas Bangma, Chris Harris, PistonHeads, Richard Hammond etc) just like they did for the Carrera GT.

You are correct, and that is a GOOD thing.

I saw a red on today in Shoreview/Arden Hills area. At first I was like another Corvette, then i looked closer as it was coming towards me, OMG! a ZR1. The only other time I've seen one was at the auto show up close.
But yeah I was looking to see if the driver was you. If so I would have run over you with my 4x4 ECHO econo car:facepalm:

Or we can race for pink slips:thumbsup:

Well anyone can get a large V8 to sound good. Mercedes also have pretty good sounding V8s.

Stock C63 AMG:

It's very difficult to get V10s to sound great. Case in point, the OHV Viper V10. Sounds terrible, IMO. It just sounds like an uneven mess coming out of the tailpipes.

Personally, I like both the deep, throaty growl of big V8s, and also the high pitched, F1 inspired scream of exotic V8s/V10s/V12s. One company makes both: Toyota.

LOL...last week when I went to the mall to watch Inception, I saw a Corvette at one of those WIN A CAR drawing booths...I also thought it was just a regular Vette, but then I got closer....red Z06 with a sticker of around $70k. I was like damn, most of the time they would just give you the base automatic Corvettes that most of the mid-life crisis 50 yo guys would buy, but I was wrong.
