yeah big difference huh.
Yeah. I mean... 3 inches isn't a whole lot. But, when I was walking up (approaching from the right side of that picture), I could see my truck "outlining" his truck. You can really tell the difference if you look at the lower grills in the pic.docindahouze said:yeah big difference huh.
dam I thought that was a frontier, the grilles look the same though on those years.amp2oo1 said:Good thing he is shielding your truck from that damn shopping cart too!
It might only be a 3" lift, but the way they appear next to a stock one in person makes them look so much bigger. I bet the guy I parked next to at Cabella's was wondering why his truck looked so much different than mine when he came out. :naughty:docindahouze said:yeah big difference huh.
You must be a short fellabueno_taco said:Plus, I have enough trouble getting in the truck at the stock height.
Same exact reasons i dont want to lift mine. I think it looks much better at stock height and more classy IMO escpicially in Black.cwhiley said:Am I the only one who likes my truck the way it is? Hah! I'm not going to slap a lift on mine for several reasons.
I think it looks great the way it is, don't want to mess with problems in the ride or alignment, and I don't do any real offroading so it's unecessary from that standpoint.
Frankly, looking at that photo I like the stock height truck better, looks sportier, "tighter" and faster to me. (shrugs)
Why would you want a truck that is marketed solely on it's offroad abilities to look sporty? If you want sporty, buy a Lexus SC430, not a Tacoma. Also, like Pointer said, my truck now feels much "tighter" than it did stock. the stiffer suspension greatly reduces body roll and cornering stability.cwhiley said:Frankly, looking at that photo I like the stock height truck better, looks sportier, "tighter" and faster to me. It's marketed solely on it's offroad abilities? Heh, I wasn't aware of that. And no thanks I want a truck, not a car, cos I carry shit around with it. I highly doubt that it handles better with the center of gravity lifted - that just doesn't make sense. I'll buy that it doesn't handle any worse, but it's purely psychological factor to say it's better. As far as the ride being better - maybe it is on a TRD offroad (since I don't ahve one and have never driven one to compare it with my sport) but mine's pretty stiff and I like it just fine. So you like your truck lifted - great - but I'm just pointing out it's not for everyone. I'd rather not mess around with Toyota's engineering when it comes to the mechanics of how my truck operates on a basic level. I trust they did a good enough job on that and I'd rather not monkey it up with aftermarket stuff IF I DON'T NEED IT.05TRDOffRoad said:Why would you want a truck that is marketed solely on it's offroad abilities to look sporty?
