It seems all lift companies are manufacturing lifts for 4x4/prerunner...which totally makes sense. However, I have base model, and I have seen plenty of the older body style base model tacomas lifted, but I have no idea which manufacturers make a lift for the base model 4x2. Or which manufacturers have a good reputation for a lift for the "little" tacoma. Ideas/recomendations would be excellent

At the moment I believe you are SOL:sosad:. Noone, to my knowledge, makes anything for the 05-06 5 lug 2wd for either lifting or lowering. SOS makes a 1" lowering kit for the xrunner and it cost like $400.00:kookoo:. Give it a couple more years and these companies will probably start making suspension kits for the base models once more of them are running around. The demand isn't as high for the 5 lug stuff right now as it is for the 6 lug prerunners and 4x4s, so these companies aren't going to make something that isn't going to sell high volumes. Think about all the new tacomas you see and how many of those are some configuration of the base model 5 lug?
