My alternator is factory on 97 Camry 2.2 L, it seems a bit worn as I can see improvements in blower fan speed and power windows being rolled up with increase in rpm. What other years\models can I grab an alternator off of while I'm at the junkyard? Thanks!

Toyodiy.com not only has a nice PN from VIN find engine but also gives all toy/lexus models that are spec'd for the same toy PN

look how many other cars use my 93's number 2 AT shift solenoid!

They report the original alt PN is present on the following US cars
MarketDate rangeModelFrames/OptionsFound in diagram
N. America08/1996-06/2001TOYOTA CAMRYSXV2*,MCV2*19-03: ALTERNATOR
N. America07/1996-06/2001TOYOTA CAMRYSXV20,MCV2019-03: ALTERNATOR
N. America06/1998-11/2002TOYOTA SOLARAACV20,MCV20,SXV2019-03: ALTERNATOR

the new (replacement) Toyota alt PN comes up as only on non US cars

Try this. It has an application guide.

I would warn anyone about buying from this website, that some parts are not returnable and there is no clear notification if the part is returnable or not, they have a long history of bad reviews with the BBB, buyer beware

For all concerned I went with a Wilson rebuilt alternator. its a Nippon Denso unit with Wilson rebuilt parts in it. 147+tax (family pricing at a local parts store).

That website is great for looking up parts but I can't attest to their practices. Thanks for all the info though!
