So, I was going to go buy my Eibach springs for my 2002 Camry se v6 today, but I started worrying. My car sits lower than any other Camry I've seen, and I'm woried that when I lower it, it'll be TOO low, and I won't be able to fix any rubbing issues. I really want to go low, but i don't want to go too low.......I had told myself that maybe the stock rear springs were sagging, and the new ones would be fine.....but I'm worried..

your rear def looks like its sagging more. What do you have in your trunk? Im guessing a audio system ?

if it sits lower than any other camry, it means your existing stock springs are sagging, the point here is that you are replacing the springs.
Once you put new lowering springs in there, it will give you the proper, corrected, desired height, as springs are the components of suspension that will determine your height.

I'm lowered on eibachs as well, the pro kit (which i would recommend for you), and you will be fine.

Yea your rear end is sagging some..but the lowering springs shouldn't bring it down too much more, if any..with the way it's sitting now..the front will come down. Depending if it's a 4 or a 6...will depend on how much

I'm lowered on Eibachs as well...no problems and not super low

yeah, if your springs are sagging now the lowering springs wont bring it lower theyll just reset it to the way it should stand.. looks like youve got to replace the springs anyways, might as well get aftermarket ones

thanks a lot guys.....i was thinking/hoping it was the springs...the car does have just over 101k on it!!!!but i just wanted some other opinions.....

and yeah...the back i think looks pretty good now, but the front = shite...

so...i'll be purchasing springs tomorrow then(and a fender roller sometime next week)..thanks for your input guys...this is why i love this site....i've been here for over a year....and its great to be with some people who actually like the camry, and actually know a little bit about it....

one more quick question.......i know this setup will rub w/o fender mods, but i want to know if you guys think it can be done with fender rolling and maybe a tiny tiny pull...

18x8.5 +38 with 235/40/18s

it might not rub, the drop is not too low, depends how many fat chicks you put in the back. once you drop, give us some pics so we can see whats happening.

i know your rims are wider, but with 235's, i THINK you might not need a roll.

yeah....im gonna test fit and see what fits/ what hits....right now i have 18x8 +40 w the 235/40s. im gonna see how they do and then I'll see what i can do. I'm hoping that the extra half inch will be offset by the slight tire stretch......we'll see, and there will def be pics....:naughty:

well...heres my 2003 SE i4 lowered on TRD springs....theyre made by eibach but are camry specific and are progressive wound to work with stock struts and give a good drop, comfortable ride and good handling...got em for 220 from my dealer and ill never go back to stock...i love them!

18x8.5 +38 with 235/40/18s

I have 18 inch wheels with 235 tires lowered on TRD springs. There are no rubbing issues.

Why do you think that you need 18 X 8.5?

I have 18 X 7.5 +42 BBS RK's and they fit perfectly.

Personally, I think it makes more sense to get the properly sized wheel instead of modifying the car so that the wheels fit...

i recall a guy here had 18x8 or 18x8.5 +38 and they fit pretty flush.
guy had a gen5 with Work VS-XX wheels and was lowered too

225/40/18, lower on eibach, would it rub?? also if lower on eibach will the back be a bit lower then the front???

depends on the offset and the width of the rim. im running on 8.5 35 offset. barely rubs. going wider by this month

Hey guys! My car just hit 102k miles and I think my shocks and/or springs are worn out as well. I was looking into the trd springs.

My question for you is...Will I RUB? I have the stock 17inch Solara wheels (5 spoke aluminum) on 225-55-17 Goodyear Responsedge tires.

Is there any chance that I could rub? My suspension has become really loose and even hard to keep on the road at times. Of course, a lot of it has to do with the way I drive!!!
