LSD and Locking Diff together???

I may replace my 2005 Tacoma Offroad TRD with a like a similar 2011. On page 15 of the 2011 brochure, I read the following:

- Automatic Limited-Slip Differential (Auto LSD) S (standard)
- Electronically controlled locking rear differential (V6 only) P (package)

Since the Offroad package comes with the Electronically controlled locking rear differential, does it also retain LSD part of the diff?

Each of these two types of diffs have their advantages and disadvantages.

I tried the search function but did not see where this had been discussed.

if i'm not mistaken it is either locked or unlocked with no in between.
On the 2009 and up the LSD is not a true mechanical Limited Slip aka posi-trac. From my understanding both the Sport and Off Road models now come with an open differential. The Sport has a computer controlled LSD. The Off Road models come with an open differential and the e-locker.

I'm not so sure that's the case with the 2011 models (just like Toyota eliminating the passenger airbag cutoff switch for the standard cabs). If you look at Toyota's website, you'll see that the Auto LSD is now standard on all the Tacomas regardless of which model you get (it even shows up as standard on the standard cab). Then the off-road would additionally have the e-locker.

Thank you for the correction. I should change that to read 09 and 10 models.
