I am new to the forum and need some advice. I have a 1980 toyota pickup with a 20 R engine. The truck was running fine until two days ago when it just quit. I found that there was no spark being delievered to the plugs. I changed the rotor, cap, coil and had the ignitor rebuilt...........STILL NO SPARK. The truck cranks and is getting fuel but refuses to start. I don't know where to look next. I did check and I have power getting to the coil but there is nothing coming out the other side. Any help would be greatly appriciated.:headbang:

Not sure how they rebuild them but apparently it can be done. I know that the guy puts all new electronics inside the case. The before and after test I saw made me a believer. I did get the pickup started and it's running great now.

Did you check the signal generator? 140-180 ohms at the green plug coming out of the distributor. Also, check the air gap for the signal generator. Can't remember the specs now, but it need to be set correctly to run.
