Hi,
I cleaned up my MAF sensor a couple of times but the check engine light comes on after 3-6 months. I want to buy a new MAF. I understand the OEM one is denso MAF.

What are the non-OEM MAF sensors that suits well for corolla?

Please save your money and buy an OEM mass air flow sensor. Google "Toyota oem parts" and order it from an online Toyota parts dealer.

a few thopughts

1)You really should have a detailed signature for your car

2) instead of saying the CEL comes on you should tell us the exact code #'s

3) I do agree with Celica guy and on parts like a MAF I would stick with the OEM

4) I think your MAF has 2 "wire sensors" on them........one is the MAF wire and the other is the "air charge wire" did you clean both of them?
if you have p0171 system too lean bank1 change your donut ring (in between the down pipe and exhaust manifold) and exhaust manifold gasket....cleared mine up at its over 2k after
