Newbie here, I just searched all 27 pages here and haven't found anything on this. I'm either blind or i'm shocked that no one has posted up on this. Just wondering for my father who is on a road trip and doesn't want to stare at the light for the next week :help:

It's in the owner's manual that came with the car. I would look it up for you but what is the fun in that right? Well, I don't have the car with me right now but I am sure you can call your father to have him look it up.

I think this is what you're looking for.

I didn't realize that they put these instructions in the manual. It wasn't in my last vehicle manual. Now I should be able to turn off the Maintenance light unlike on my last vehicle by myself.

For future reference when people ask, I've included a link to this thread in both the Modifications & Maintenance sticky, as well as the Common Problems & Solutions sticky. Thanks!

Shouldn't we have the oil type for 6 and the 4 cy engines just below the type of Trans oil?

Was in costco the other day and on the phone I struggled to find the darn thing while browsing the isle. If we had a sticky up there, we can find it fast and get the right oil. I almost thought it was 5w-20, which is what costco had, no 0w-20 at my costco's!

For some reason I found the manual instructions to be mixed up. So I thought it maybe easier to just follow according to standard key and smart key....

Reset the maintenance data (U.S.A. only)
After the required maintenance is performed according to the maintenance
schedule, please reset the maintenance data.
To reset the data, follow the procedure described below:

Vehicles without a smart key system:
Using the trip meter
Turn the engine switch to the “LOCK”
position with ODO reading shown. (I noticed this cannot be changed on the 2014 HL)
While pressing the trip meter reset
button (→P. 95), turn the engine switch to the “ON” position
(do not start the engine, reset mode will be canceled).

Continue to press and hold the button, as you see the dash lines, and until the trip meter displays “000000”.

While the engine is running (Which I guess at this point you turn the engine ON. At this point my car was already RESET), switch the multi-information display to the “Settings”
screen. (→P. 94) Select “Maintenance System” on the “Settings” screen.
Select “Yes” on the “Maintenance System” screen.
“Initialization Completed” will be displayed on the multi-information display
when the reset procedure has been completed.

(→P. 95), turn the engine switch to the IGNITION ON mode
