on a recent earlier reply of mine to you I provided links to free Toyota factory service manual downloads which show in great detail how to rebuild an engine from the ground up if need be.

Is the problem that you are not finding the info in the manual?

There are two main components that need to be addressed: the cylinder head, and the block. You need to be concerned with making sure that measurements are within specs, gaskets/seals/plugs are replaced, surfaces are checked and machined if needed. Replace the timing components, pistons, and the different pumps. Have the head checked for cracks, and get a valve job ... or you could just buy an already rebuilt head. Anything else that looks worn should be replaced.
