So my car came with a Digifilm tint already on it on the back 2 passengers windows and the rear window. I'm looking to tint the front two windows to match but I'm not sure what % tint to go with. It says on the sticker that its "Digifilm 42%". Where I'm confused is that I've only seen tint come in 50/35/15/5%, never ending in a 2. Is this number accounting for the tint that comes in factory glass?

If so would this mean they used 45% tint which brings it down to ~42%? Its fairly light and I don't want the front two windows to look darker than the back, if anything I'd prefer the opposite. I'm also looking to do this myself and I've found tint on Amazon that comes in 50/45/40% so I'm having trouble deciding which % to choose. Right now I'm leaning towards the 45%, but that's so light and I'd prefer to go with the 40. Any thoughts?

I had 40 put on mine and guy wrote 40 on their form. He used to work Toyota body place, but he didn't add in the factory part.
40% not too dark. Good at night.

You might buy a couple samples on line at 35, 40, and 45. About $1 each I think.

Just take it to the tint shop, they'll cut a piece out, lay it on, and you can see what your happy with.

I should've done this on one of my old cars, but didn't think of it and just said a number to go with... was off by a shade, looked like ass.
