Matrix vs Corolla 16" Alloy Wheels

I've seen a Toyota Nation forum post indicating that 16" Corolla alloy wheels can be used on a 1.8L Matrix because both cars have a 5X100 bolt pattern. I believe the offset is 39mm on both the Corolla and base Matrix for 2009. So, it seems that I would be safe in picking up a set of either Corolla or Base Matrix 16" alloys for my 2009 Base Matrix. Pictures of the 2008 and 2009 Corolla, and the 2009 Base Matrix 16" alloys look identical. I just want to be sure before I start looking around so I don't end up making a bad purchase. Can someone confirm? Also, would there be a problem if I happened to find wheels with TPMS sensors? Somewhere, I think I saw something about having to have them programmed for the car they're being put on.

I think you're spot on amigo. There was a good thread kicking around on here with wheel dimensions somewhere.

re: tpms, I think you will need to reset it or take to a dealer to do it. not sure. It's not the end of the world if you don't have tpms just will have a light on the dash.
Thanks for the confirmation jdhog. This forum is great!!!
I have been looking for a cheap set of older Matrix 16" alloys for many months now looking to do the same thing on my 09. Once Lowered it would look like a normal car instead of a 4x4. That would be nice.
