does anyone know anything about the newest and last year's mb quart premium line?the PSD and PCE, E being the newest, I can tell that aside from about 100 dollars ;) and the ability to mount the E's coaxially, they seem to be the same speaker, any input?

I don't have any experience with mb quarts but if you're looking for a good component speaker to mount coaxially check out the Image Dynamics Chameleons.

i actually don't want them mounted coaxially, I have a great tweet sport in the avalon and I would like to take advantage of it.

I have a set of PSD216, and I liked them alot but I upgraded to DLS iridiums, so if you want to save some money, I am selling the set. They sounded really good in my Camry, the musicomp crossover is sweet, you can bi-wire your set if you have a 4 channel amp, thats what I did, they sounded awesome. the tweets need to be set at -3db since they were up in the pods by the mirrors.

i appriciate the offer eddie, but I need the 210's, the Avalon takes 4" mid bass drivers. was there any reason you chose to upgrade?

You need to put in at least 5.25 (6.5 would be better) in there, 4 inch will not give you the midbass you need up front. 4" are more for midrange.

i think that I am going to persue that jl 8w3v2 and the five channel amp to add to my midbass. the MB Quart 4" really to provide great imaging and superior midrange

i realize that I wil still be lacking up front, but no worse than now right? I can appriciate what is curretly lacking, but Ithink that any increase in midbass will help a good deal. Also there really is not anywhere upfront to add another driver. Kick panels are not an option since I'm6'4" and not willing to give up any leg room and the doors aren't deep enough to acomodate a much larger speaker.

How much you want for the PSD216. Would s/h be actual rate? Thanks, I believe 5.25 can be installed in a Avalon or we shall soon find out.

I know it has already been done. I think I saw someone did it on cardomain, but I'm not sure. I think I'm gonna get a component set of Infinity's (reference series) and mount the tweeters on the piece of plastic up by the front of the window. I'll try to find that car that had them in there and post the link. Like he said you really need 5.25 to get decent midrange. Do you have a sub in your car. Do you have the back 8" woofer? I'd love to find one of those enclosures.

yeah I have two compvr 15's in the trunk. I've actually been thinking about gettnig the kicker ssmb8's for the back deck. I've decided that the five channel amp is the way to go, plus it has two independent crossovers which'll save me some dough. I'd love the SSMB8's in the door's but I don't know how I could possibly make that happen
