A new year begins with plenty of Taco adventures in the works
Currently looking at running the state route 2 in southern Iowa from the Missouri River all the way to the Mississippi River. A distance of 251 miles

Weather should be "fun". ;)
We want pics!
I expect lots of snow, cold and salty roads
And hopefully more hills than i-80 and US-34 have

I have a lot of time on I-80, Wyoming!
Oh my, it's been 1/4 century since I traveled that road back home from a job in SLC, I recall it being as flat as i-80 in NE & IA are, at least compared to I-70 west of Denver that I made a trip to about a year ago via US-34 (much nicer than 80!)

I did head back on a different path through Iowa City and then I-80 west
MPGs were probably 20~21 as usual
the other half of this multi-state hwy (N-2) will be an overnighter because its nearly 500 miles long through the sandhills to southwestern SD

Probably the best thing today was the wind was non-existent!

Entertaining the running of cornhusker trail N-9 tomorrow
West Point to Ponca, near Sioux City, a distance of 61 miles once the head is reached
its currently outside of crop season, the fields are barren. Maybe the cows are out? Maybe some snow? Hopefully no heavy winds!

The truck will turn 180k somewhere during the journey
And might even cruise around Ponca state park on the Missouri river SD border

Whole bunch of straight lines over flat country!
Lol, I've been involved in FLAT that never seemed to end :(
This trail had it's rolling snow-covered hills so definitely not flat!!

It was Foggy enough that I couldn't see the top half of the windmills spinning, 25 degrees out, not much wind! and the road needs resurfaced, it gave the old suspension a good workout!
