DEcided on this tonight hence the reason for my previous post. I talked to my bud who ones one and wants to get rid of it. Its black 201,000 km's its rusted on the sides and he wants 600. yes or no?

hmmm.. better yet, at that price, fix it up at bit, so it doesn't 'lasts for awhile', and sell it for more than you pay if you don't like it, instead of driving it into oblivion. Their are always going to be AE86 enthusiasts, and less AE86's, it will only go up in value, hang on to it for a lil while, and invest some money into, you won't lose a nickel.

Certifiable for $600, hmmmm.. that would be a surprise.

the black gt-s I used to have had (and this is only what i noticed):

-bad rear wheel bearing(s)
-leaky diff
-rusted through floor
-rusted through shock tower
-rusty hatch door, both side doors, rockers, fenders, quarter panels, etc etc
-half the fins on the rad were busted out
-leaky valve cover gaskets
-leaky distributor
-rusty/leaky exhaust

a car like this might be just too much to bother with.. or am I wrong?

on top of that i had no garage to work on it in, so it was a tough situation..

just depends how much yer willing to invest. i had some of your problems and i've fixed them. theres stillmore that needs to be adressed and i look at them with enthusiasm rather than a bothersome.
