I have a 91 turbo and a budget of 4 grand. My car has 113,000 miles on it. It is decently moded already, but i am looking for more power. The two choices i am looking into are building my current engine or swapping in the 3rd gen's engine and mod that. I am looking for around 300 rwhp and a daily driver. What do you guys think the best route would be considering price and reliability.

build ur motor...get a t3/t4 kit and with supporting mods u should hit 300rwhp no problem.....but it may cost a bit more than u 4g budget......

what are ur current mods now??.......

HKS Exhaust, Blitz BOV, K&N Intake, Greddy short-shifter, Turbo-Timer. I forgot to mention that i broke my tranny a few weeks ago so that is also a major factor.

Gen 1&2 swap to Gen 3

The Gen 1 and 2 are OBD 1 and Gen 3 are OBD 2... screw obd 2 too many computer problems to mess with go with the build up on your curent motor.

I say stay away from genIII engines and stick with what is suported here.
Besides, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

The gen II is quite capable of easily meeting your goals.
