lets say you stumble upon 1000 dollars. what mods would you make to your rig? lift it? lower it? bling? replace the dunflops? try to stick to the budget.

personally i'd put in a 3" cornfed suspension lift $250 and a set of bfg a/t's or revos $650 265-70-17 fifty bucks in the tank and a cooler full of cold ones. just need to wait for the spring to do the work in the driveway.

lockers
Intake and exhaust. All go no show for me.
And $1000 isn't a lot of money to work with. You almost can't complete any mod. You can buy subs and an amp but a good deck will blow that budget away. Also I don't see how you can properly lift the 4-Runner for $1k. You can do what I did and retrofit S2000 HID's but even so, it's still over $1k.

"properly lift"??? I guess it depends on what you mean by properly. Sure, $1000 won't buy you a long travel kit for the front, but it'll more than buy a very solid, very well performing kit from Old Man Emu. If you shop around for good prices, you can get the lift and a set of tires for $1000.
