Hey Gang !

Planning to buy an 09 Tacoma TRD Off-Road package truck. I'm paralyzed from the waist down and need hand controls to operate my vehicles. Has anyone installed hand controls in an 09 or sim Tacoma, and if so, was the install clean and is their enough room to mount the hadware leaving adequate leg room as well? Any thoughts from anyone are MUCH appreciated.

I use Monarch hand controls in my Chrysler mini van. They don't interfere with leg room. You might go to a business that does modifications on vehicles to see an installed set of hand controls. I've bought used hand controls in the past, but for safety reasons had them installed at a business familiar with installation. Good luck.
