moonroof safty switch problem?

my moon roof will not close it gets about 3/4 of the way and then it seems the pinch protection/safty switch is triggerd and it opens up again. there is no unusual noise or wobbleing so i belive the cable is still ok.. as far as i can see the track is in good shape and clean. any ideas? its just a rocker type switch on the roof the type with open close tilt the vehicle is a 200 solara coupe. i know there is a solara section but this area gets more views thanks guys
