Hi everybody-

I am starting to shop for a generation 1 MR2. I am not too concerned with the condition of the engine/transmission, but I am very interested in getting a good body/interior/chassis. So my questions are:

Where are the most common rust problem areas on a generation 1 MR2 body?

and...

How many miles on the chassis would be enough that I should be concerned with the condition of springs/struts/suspension/steering linkages and before metal fatigue on the body might be a factor?

rust area would be around the wheel arches in front and in back of the rear wheels if ttop car check floors and roof rails (they tend to leak) Mileage depends on how it was driven..
