Yeah, I'm a Mustang guy. I drive an ORIGINAL Mustang, not one of these newfangled contraptions they have. It's a 1966 coupe that is in dire need of a little TLC.

I started researching the Taco just before my GF got her Scion tC. I'll tell ya what that car moves somthin' fierce! She got it in stick cause she wanted one, but she hadn't learned by time we went to pick it up, plus the dealer was on a busy highway, so I got to drive it home. That sealed the deal on the Taco.

Plans as of now are to save up the entire amount for the truck (32K) by Christmas. Have my GF (she'll be my fiancee by than :smokin: ) co-sign (it's sad that I'm a financial consultant, but I have a credit score of only 540 :eek:wned: . Believe me, that is the reason I got into the financial industry! LOL!!) so I can get it. Even with good credit, I wouldn't be able to make a purchase like that on my own.

Well, sorry for rambling on. Thanks for having me!

The restoration on my 67 convert. just about sent me to the poorhouse. Luckily at that time I was single and living at home so i could afford to go bankrupt on it. Congrats on the new truk, and welcome to the site!

Thanks man. Yeah, My 66 is going to be a bit of a drain on the wallet, but I really haven't started yet. Once my business gets rolling a bit and I've got a steady flow of green backs coming in (it's all commission, so the beginning really sucks) I'll be working on filling a savings acct with the loot for the Taco. I'm still living at home and don't plan to move till late in fall, so I have a little extra time there.

Than there are the few things I need for the Stang. I have to have the exhause mani bolts drilled and tapped because on removal of 40 year old bolts that had heated and cooled god only knows how many times, I broke the heads off of all but 2 :sosad: . So, I need that fixed, the new suspension and front brake kit (change to 5 lug). That's about $1350 plus the head and than another about 2K for the rear. 9" housing, posi gears (prolly 3.55 or 3.80's), and 5 lug axles with brakes). So, I'm looking at about $3,500, which just so happens to be what I need in the bank for when I move out and the amount we are going to spend on furnature for the apt. :disappoin

This is part of the reason I need the Taco. I need a truck to tow the Stang, I want a truck cause I miss having one, the Taco is reliable and good on gas, and it's the only truck I can configure the way I want and still have a 5/6 speed option. I would love the long bed, but there is no manual trans option with the long bed (at least with the access cab). :sosad: It's all good tho! :whatwhat: I love tacos! MMMMMMMM!
