I drove from San Diego to Santa Barbara this week and I thought I would share my trip stats.

Filled up in San Diego, arrived in Santa Barbara, I averaged 37.1mpg @ about 72mph. Hit traffic 3 times, once in Orange County and twice in LA.
On the way back I had an average speed @ about 67mph, and only hit traffic once at the 101 and I-405 connector.

From Santa Barbara to San Diego, and the total trip average was 37.4 mpg, which is pretty good considering I have a lead foot, and I also did some city driving while I was there. Total miles traveled was actually 429.9, but I filled up about 20 miles into the trip so thats why the picture shows as 397.4. So even after 398 miles, I still have a little less than a quarter tank to burn :)

How ever, I did receive this wonderful piece of paper while I was there :headbang:

I didn't know you can get a fixit ticket while parked

those are some good numbers you got there I've never been able to go a long distance where the tank was close to E taking the freeway but I could go from Houston to Ft. Worth using slightly less than half a tank(260 miles). were you by yourself?.....my mini trip of my own to Austin we had 4 of us in the car and a whole load of junk in the trunk(pun not intended) going about 70-75 mph with little head wind. I about 32....but the car was carrying a lot if people and stuff so it makes sense....oh and the stupid hills

UT Austin football stadium

It went up to 32mpg later on when we got there usually mine off by one or two mpg

This is how low it was lol

yeah haha I was by myself, but I did have a lot of stuff with me, like always. I always have a lot of random stuff in my trunk (skateboards, tripod, clothes, etc.) but I also forgot to add that I did have the AC on atleast 75% of the time. Not going to lie though, I did have my times when I knew traffic was going to get heavy, so I was cruising at speed of about 60, but only in busy areas, the majority of the time I had the cruise control set at 72

Just use a GPS in each car to see how far off both cars are, ;) my speedo reads about 2mph faster than my actual speed.
