i was wondering if anyone else has had some of the same problems, ok the first is one ive had since i first got the car, 90% of the time when using the blinkers at night i always hit the high beams, flash the lights, or sometimes turn them off all together (every one used to laugh at me for bein stupid till they drove it at night and had the same problems)....this isnt an electrical problem btw its more of a poorly designed multi function stalk, the other thing is when i first got my car i liked to shift hard, still do on occasion, and yesturday during some of my antics i finally broke the top part of the shifter linkage and couldnt get into first or second, hmm thats more of a point not to slam the gears too hard seeing as we dont have enough torque to get off the line in 3rd gear :p...last but not least is how reliable the 3ee is (like i said i was hard on it at first but ive since settled down) but im on my second motor and its started to burn a little oil and lost a noticeable amount of power (i dont have the time or money to be doing 4e or 5e swaps so thats out of the picture)...well aside from the power its still reliable (albeit slow) and gets me where im goin....just wondering if other tercel drivers have had some of the same problems or what other problems people have been having or solutions

Hey man,
if you want more power, a 5e-fe from a paseo with distributor would be well worth it, and you should be able to get one for about 4 or 500 bucks. you could use your trans u have, but just would need some other little things from a 5e-junk yard, u pull it, or toyota warehouse. As for linkage, ur gonna have to check that out by taking apart shifter-shifter and cables have some plastic parts so, yeah....just some suggestions _ANDY_
