need 4runner buying advice

i'm trying to decide between a 98 and a 97 4runner - both are sr5, both are 5speed manual, they are roughly the same price with the same options; the 97 has 85k and had the timing belt changed, the 98 has 101k and has not had the timing belt changed. the 97 is in better general condition (mostly inside) - have not had them checked for mechanical problems but both have records that show them well taken care of.
suggestions on which is the better car?

well sounds like the '97 is the better deal, seeing as how the timing belt is done, has less miles, and is in better condition, are there any areas that the '98 beats the '97?
