Hey everyone! 1st post here.

I own an AE92 DX Wagon here in Singapore, where like the rest of S.E. Asia, it came with leaf spring as the stock suspension system in the rear.

I realise that the DX Wagons in the US/Canada region seem to mostly come with coil springs, and I'm looking to convert mine to coil spring as well...hence, any idea what will the parts be needed?

I could source for an AE92/AE101 rear axle with suspension locally, but what I'm most worried about are the mounting points and interior trim (Which are impossible to find locally). It seems like the interior trim is different from Leaf spring to Coil Spring (See below)

(The more spacious S.E.A leaf spring spec (Top) vs Coil Spring trim in the US/Canada (Bottom))

Would the interior trim pieces be enough? (Meaning after converting the interior trim, I'll plug and play the coil-spring suspension system and axles from a sedan AE92 into it)

Also, this also brings me to another question.. does anyone know where I can get hold of DX Wagon interior trim pieces? Have tried using Facebook Marketplace, but was faced with rejections, as most sellers didn't want to waste time on removing the parts & arrange shipping for it.

Also, in case anyone is curious, here's some pictures of my wagon here in Singapore. Most people here drive new cars (Due to the high costs of vehicle ownership). Which makes any car older than 10 years a rare find. In fact, there are only 3 AE92 Wagons left here on our shores, with mine the only stock one left.

Hopefully could get some advice/help from this thread. Am new to here so not really sure how it works haha,

Cheers,
SK Santhosh

Unfortunately due to parts being hard to come by unless you have access to a well equipped shop doing that swap would be very difficult. Even here in the US those parts are really hard to find.
Nice ride and with only 3 you found a gem. It'd be a shame to see it be all for not if you got started and couldn't find or fabricate the parts.

Agreed. When dealing with such a rare car, sometimes it's best to leave them stock. I thought my Geo Prizm (a Corolla clone was rare around here), due to a lack of replacement parts. It was assembled in California at the Nummi plant. I don't know if trying the Philippines might be a better choice for looking for those parts for the conversion. I only say that, as they got a lot of Corollas there, and it might be cheaper for shipping. I don't know if Australia, or New Zealand got their wagons set up like yours or not. But, it might be worth checking into. I don't think there's a lot of wagons here in the states, maybe Canada, but then it's hard to say how many are left due to road salt.

Yeah, seems like the wagons are getting rarer by the year. The Philippines didn't receive the wagon model. Those that were there were parallel imports from elsewhere. Have been checking FB Marketplace for 2nd hand cars from US/New Zealand and trying my luck to see if they were selling just the parts. But unfortunately no luck so far haha. Doesn't make financial sense for me to import a complete car just for a few trim and suspension bits too.
