hello iam new to this forum. i just bought a 1999 toyota camry 5sfe motor the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder. i purchased the car from iaa auto auction and the car didnt start. i diagnosed it at home over the last 2 weeks and i found out it wasnt getting spark. why can this be i checked the timing replaced the coils, changed sparkplugs, sparkplugs wires were changed. what can i do iam desperate new to a camry and i want to drive my camry thanks guys

Hi! I am a newbie as well but hopefully I can put in some input.
The basis principle is that if you have fuel, spark, correct timing, the engine should run. Turn crankshaft bolt to bring cylinder 1 to TDC, check distributor position, ignition coil? Check the fuses, relay etc. and fuel pressure, if everything is right, it should start. In my opinion, it is somewhere in the distributor you should look. Please let us know if you have found a solution.

Timing belt timing?... or??? I don't think ignition timing on your engine is adjustable, right?

toyota camry doesnt start

no the car doesnt have a distributor. it has no spark i changed the coils and checked the timing aswell as the fuses and its getting fuel and has pressure in the fuel system and has compression
