but that rubber piece in there is really worn out and now it lays like this



I barely noticed this morning how worn out it was, sounded like I was dragging some thing. Can anyone tell me what that rubber piece is called and possibly tell me how it can be replaced?

I found the name of the part, center support bearing now im gonna search around for installation instructions and maybe make a newbie guide if there isnt one on here already.

Carrier bearing - or center bearing. That one is toast!

It is!! lol I've been doing some pricing and holy **** they are pricey! I've seen some on ebay in the range of 20 - 40 bucks which is about half the price of the ones selling locally at places like auto zone or o reillys. have you or any one else had experience with them cheapos from the interwebs?

I've had excellent luck buying this kind of stuff off of Ebay. I often find same brand name parts for half of local price. Buy from somebody with a bunch of feedback and good numbers. You should be fine.
