i need some help please. i've read the thread on replacing the 94 camry a/c expansion valve and i see there are 6 bolts holding the passenger airbag in but i can only find/remove 5. i believe there's a 6th, 10mm brass bolt at the very top of the airbag towards the center of the car but i can't see it. i got the matching one out on the other side by the passenger door.
can someone tell me how to find/remove/see the last bolt to get this thing out?
thanks so much

Yes there is. Per FSM, You have to remove the radio & heater control panel to reach it..

w95c, thanks a bunch. yep, had to remove the radio and climate controls to get at it. not gonna put it back neither. 5 bolts is enough. what a pain.
and i don't know if you have to remove the air bag, but the write up on here said to do so to get at that top screw and it did make it a bunch easier after i finally got the bag out. whew.
gonna button it up tomorrow and try charging it to see if my txv replacement worked - praying hard.
thanks for the help.

i wanted to expound a bit more on this for future searchers:
it appears the 94 is unique in this as the 92/93 didn't have pass airbags and it appears the 95/96 had all 6 bolts in the clear to remove per another thread on here from ghettosled. thanks to you by the way. pics helped bunches. anyways, for the 94, to get at that top bolt for the blower housing, it's easiest to remove the passenger airbag. i say 'easy' tongue in cheek because in order to remove the airbag, there are 6 bolts, 5 are accessible and the 6th isn't until you pull the radio trim plate, radio. speedo surround and the climate control panel. then, you can barely see the little brass 10mm bolt way back up in and to the right on under the top of the airbag. the book sez to use a ratchet with u-joint to get it but that didn't work for me. i just used a long handled ratchet with only the 10mm socket and went in sideways and worked it until it came out. don't intend to put it back either. thanks to Toyota's over-engineering, the other 3 10mm and 2 12mm bolts hold it just fine.

here's the link i used btw: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/1...ow-replace-ac-expansion-valve-evaporator.html

mcgowaw, I would have removed the AB as well just to give more room to work as you needed it. I am sure it keep you from standing on your head the whole time. ABs scare the hell out of me so I disconnect the battery when every I am working around those yellow wires & plugs. Due to my bad lower back, I took out my passenger seat when I had to remove my blower so I could lay flat in the floor instead of being twisted like a pretzel.
It was nice of Toyo to use brass bolts so you could find that last one. You might want to put some felt or something on the mount that you are going to admit the bolt from just in case it could rattle if not bolted in tight.

well, at the risk of having egg on my face, i'm gonna declare this project a success.
i just drove 1 1/2 hours, in 90 degree ambient and the center vent held at 40-42 fan on low the entire time.
unless i report something to the contrary, she's road worthy once again.
thanks again to all - for all your help. great forum i've been a part of for over 10 years now.
