Ok guys trying to get my air charged properly, I have a 2000 corolla, I put a new to me compressor in and it gets cold but I need to know the actual manifold gauge pressure. What do they need to be? This is my first time playing with a/c. Im kinda lost with the actual way to use the gauges. Temp outside now is 95
Here are my findings.
Static pressure with gauges open and car off - 114 low and 120 high
Car running no ac on 140 and 140
Gauges open ac on max and car on 145 and 145
Gauges closed and ac on max with doors open 26 and 195

Please help Thanks

I think the gauges might be broke too. I assume they should read 0 when not hooked up

Disregard the numbers above.....
Ok now that I got the gauges calibrated and the tard bug out of my system the static is 112 on both sides and with ac on max im getting 21 on the low and 160-170 on the high.
Also now it is over 100 degrees outside.
Thanks

Added 2-12.5 oz cans and now have 27 low and 280 high and the air is colder. Am I still low on 134a? Everything I can find says 25-35 on the low side at 80 degrees outside. Outside temp is now 106

pressures still seem low, the system should be charged by weight and not pressure. was the system low or totally empty? having air in the system will give you all kinds of weird pressures.
I think it's low also but it is nice and cold. The system was totally empty. I might just take it in and have it checked. I called around and places said 25-40 on the low side

yea, at 70F, not at 1,000F like it is there. on a 100F day high side can be upto 350 and low side upto 40, and should be at the high end of things.

if the system was totally empty it needs to be vacuumed of moisture and air and then recharged by WEIGHT and not pressure. you can top-off by pressure pretty well, but not do a full charge.
