Hey guys, I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla S M/T. I noticed under my car theres no splash shield where the radiator is, and apparently there should be. I see where I install it on the four holes screwed to the front bumper, but what goes in the back holes? Does it just hang from the front four screws? Id appreciate any pics showing how yours is installed. Here is a picture of the diagram and part

The splash guard is for the engine and transmission. Corolla from factory didn’t have one under the radiator.

The section fits between the fender liners. Toyota didn’t have the radiator side covered. Skid plate is solely for the engine.

If it is totally missing the diagram will help but you really just need to get under there and test-fit it. You will see in relation to the one that's still there how it's supposed to fit. On the back, it should line up with holes in the cross-member and be secured with push pins.

That shield only came on XRS models with the 2.4L engine. If you wanted to, you could buy it and install it with the original clips but it's not something that fell off or is missing from your car right now.

Wow really?? That makes a lot of sense because I don’t see it on many and my car didn’t even have the grommets for it.
