Hello everyone. First post. 95 1MZ auto 4dr Camry LE.

I'm looking for some parts. Need: inner front door handles, antenna, front rotors/pads, muffler, and passenger sideview mirror glass. I can't afford dealer prices and was wondering where is a good place to order from (or a good source in Chicago) and what kinds of parts are recommended. Of course, AutoZone, Napa, Carquest, etc, are everywhere but I was wondering if there was a place that specializes in Japanese cars (I've never really had to do much besides regular maintenance, and new driveshafts 2 yrs ago). And I'd like to stay OE, if possible.

Also, the Check Engine light has been on for a while. Initially it was losing electrical power, lights were dimming when turn signals were on, and once even stalled on the highway when I rolled up all the windows (but luckily started back up after a few seconds). I noticed that the POS battery terminal was really dirty (white batt chalk) and cleaned it up. The Check Engine light turned off but after 3 days came back on. Its been running fine ever since. I was told that my car is OBDII, is this true?

BTW my car has 132K and runs like a champ. And I love smoking unsuspecting fools with my 1MZ!

Thanks midnightmach, I will try that site. As for the OBDII gremlins, we'll have to see. I know a guy who owns a shop but he thinks one of his ex-employees stole his OBDII reader (just my luck). He told me OBDII is very sensitive, and that I shouldn't worry too much.

Anyone know of any brand of brake rotors/pads I should avoid? The aftermarket pads on it now have always sucked in the cold until the first couple stops, then they're good, but they've been quiet. The rotors are badly warped and it should be the first order of business.

it's an obdII- and for electrical problems, try getting a new battery and new terminals. as well, check your alternator

for parts, you can actually go on ebay and find some decent parts for cheap as long as you're in the states. then shipping is not bad at all.

Thanks Pussyman. Tested battery and it holds charge. Terminals sound like a good idea. Will try to get alt tested too. So can anyone recommend any brand of rotors/pads (or which ones to avoid)?

rotors go brembo.

pads i went ceramic but i haven't taken them any ware cold. i was in canada winter with brembo pads and they worked well, also do a big 3 upgrade (search)

for oe parts find a car-quest my mech told me they have more or less ome if not the same quality parts. i just bought a new wheel bearing from them and they were made by the same company as the toyota one.

there also rockauto.com i have a 5% off coupon in the off topic section they have high grade parts (wix and acdelco) for cheap.

also toyotaparts4u.com is also cheap.

I couldnt beleive that, but carquest is pretty Fing good. We order parts for the shop from them, and almost all the stuff we order for toyotas it has toyota stamped all over the part :) .

Hey thanks Kevin, I'll check it out. AllTrac Camry...sweet. My first car was a 90 Camry V6 auto, always wished it was an AllTrac though. Was there a turbo as well? I seem to remember the Camry and Legacy were pretty competitive back then. Yesterday when I was buying an oil filter for my 95 1MZ the guy asked me if it was AWD. Were there gen 3/4 AWD cars?

It's a Corolla AllTrac, not a Camry. Or it was: some clown decided to drive his Tacoma sideways into it in the snow. I'm not all that familiar with AllTrac Camrys, but there's still quite a few of them on the road here in Colorado.
