ok so as most of you know 2wickedtoyz and i have a 2 yr old son.he LOVES cars and everything about em',but i need some new ideas for ways he can "help out" with our car. whenever we wash it,he grabs the biggest sponge and sops up the sides, and when we got him the kiddie "tool kit",he preferred carrying around daddy's real wrench and tire iron, so in his mind he was pretty important. this kid is REALLY into cars, and not just cause his daddy is (most kids aren't into some of the things their parents are). He's watched the hot wheels full length movie dvd until it practically burned a hole in it,he plays with his hot wheels making drifting/smoking tires noises, and when we were at a toy store he whined pitifully when we placed him on the pony rocker, but squealed with joy when we put him on the "kawasaki atv" (a kids toy version, kinda like a power wheel). Its cute when he's in the backseat in his booster seat when he hears the car accelerate,he squeals happily "GOOOOOOO!!!!!". I just wish there were more things he could do to "help out". He gets a big kick out of it,daddy will squat and examine a tire, and then here comes kiddo squatting and poking at the tire like its the most intriguing thing ever.:p: any ideas on some low key stuff a 2 yr old could participate in car wise?
btw,he's looking forward to nopi!:D

Books, Coloring stuff...create your own designs.
Have him help with oil changes, like let him pour in the oil (supervised of course). Car shows are awesome...
some of my students are now into cars since they saw me roll up in a 'vette! I planned a whole weeks worth of curriculum based on cars! Just letting him see how much you guys enjoy cars should be enough for him! :D

He could take the carpets and beat them until they are clean. Or Maybe wipe the windows down.

yeah kiddies

I have a 3yr old..... same deal, loves cars probably more than i do.

He always comes out with me to the driveway whenever im doing anything...... he likes to help. I put a CAI on last weekend, and he couldnt have been happier.
He sat in the driveway with the pieces of the stock intake trying to fit them back together, and helped wipe out the engine bay of grease and grime. His little hands and face were black ! His
Mom thought it was soo cute (thank gawd)

Anyway ya, whenever im going anything with car, i explain what im doing and why, he listens well, and soaks in some of it, im sure. He already knows what an air intake, engine, all the pedals, shifter, steering, heat/vent controls, muffler & exhaust, all the lights, and how turn them on and off, and what they are for, shocks/springs, tires/wheels, brakes......

Damn kid is gonna know more about cars when he is 5 than i did when i was 17

My advice, just let him help anyway he can, even if hes not really helping :)
