Need Strut Help

New to the group... Just brought a 91 Mr2 and it needs struts... 2 questions... 1st: What is it I need the whole strut or can I just replace the cartridge in the car??? 2nd: I guess all cars have some kind of mounts for the shocks or struts should I replace them at the same time I have the struts replaced???

You just need the strut cartridges.

Although a few companies sell a new strut with new cartridge inside.

This is very expensive work to have done to an MR2.

This is definitely a good case for a DIY job.
