hey everyone, well I finally joined the Toyota family after buying a 88 v6 5speed SR5

its a great truck, hardly any rust, runs good... but has a problem starting

it takes about 1 solid minute of cranking and fooling with the gas pedal to get it to start

the whole time it ocassionally sputters and half-runs

...but it starts right up when its warm/has been running in the past 6 hours-ish

the gas is probably almost a year old in it, so i added a gas anti-freeze/water remover, and fuel system cleaner

it also idles pretty high... it doesnt have a tach but it seems like its at 2000rpm almost

could i be looking at a vacuum problem? possibly a airflow sensor malfunction? or could it maybe be just bad gas?

thanks for all your help

Rory
