if you don't mind me asking, why are you wanting to get such skinny tyres???

195 would have to be stretched to fit onto the 15x8 which would leave a bit of a gap between the side wall and the lip of the rim.

personally i wouldn't get anything smaller than 235/50/15 if i had 15x8 rims.

I just like the stretched look ... Plus I dont think I can fit 235/50-15 tires on my Toyota Echo... Stretching tires is a way to fit wide wheels on small cars...

I stretched 205/50-15's on 15x8 before on my echo ...

What offset are your wheels??? both of them.. I like goooold! but the sportmax are ok also. :D

the sport max 002's came in a 0 offset
while the work equip 03's was 15x8 +25mm in the front with a A disc and +23mm in the rear with a O disc... I still had 1" of clearance ... I fitted 15x9 with a +13mm offset with a A disc and a +10mm with a O disc in the rears...

but wouldn't stretching the tyres compromise other things like grip and stability??

actually, stretching actually hardens the side walls. And grip is about just the tire... But, if you stretch too much might actually pop a beed. Like I wouldnt put 175/60-15's on these wheels... but stretching tires is an old trick by car enthusiast for a long time. Long time ago they didnt offer 40 or 35mm side walls especially in 14's or 15's
