Guy, I need help deciding on a new car (I know I know, what I need so many cars for:p). Its nothing crazy expensive, they are all about the same price range, I have the following in mind:

1. 2005 Celica GT
2. 2005 Matrix XRS
3. 2004 GTI 1.8t
4. Miata (not the Mazdaspeed version)
5. RSX (non S)
6. Eclipse

I listed them in accordance to my preference. I am still debating among the first 3 choices. The GTI seems to have more feature for the $, but the Celica and Matrix will be a lot lower on insurance. Hmmmmm:confused:

Hee hee Henry!! You converted :p Yeah I will check that out too thanks for the hint :)
Since you are the "Audi Man"... I'd go with the GTI. I'd go with it even if I wasn't the audi man... but it just sounded fun.
I respect that a GTI is strong but i hate its looks. Its really fugly in my opinion.
well since you already got the awd with the audi and legacy, i dont think you really need it in the matrix, so id go for the celi or the rsx
Dude you have to get the Mazda Speed Miata if you get one.

Also look at g35 or WRX STI but they may be out of your price range.
Don't listen to them. G35 6spd is better.

Besides an Acura is a honda.....:(
Get the Corolla XRS. I traded my Corolla S for the Corolla XRS. It is a blast to drive even to the grocery store at 15 mph and it is faster than the Matrix XRS (Corolla is lighter and handles better as well), Celica GT and RSX (Non Type S). Insurance is awesome as well considering it is a high performance car.
You gotta lower the XRS though or else it looks really gay.
It is already lowered an inch. Might I add, I blew the socks off a Jetta 1.8 turbo when revved on me after hearing me hit lift.
Why does it look like its sitting so high then?
I parked it side by side with my 04 Corolla S when I went to pick up my XRS. With larger and cooler rims and a bit wider and lowered stance, it looks a lot better than my previous Corolla S. Yet, I do not deny it is fairly tall. Generally, all the cars lately have been growing taller. Mazda 3 is taller than the Corolla XRS.

Just wanted to inform you the matrix xrs and the corolla xrs aren't AWD.

Audi man out of those I'd go with the rsx. GTI if not planning on keeping it past 100k.
I know it's not on your list but I vote Corolla XRS or Scion tC in order to have a sporty car and save money. Out of your list, I would definitely go for the GTI even though it can be a little pricey but the luxury and performance can't be beat.
if the tC is to be considered, I would also consider the 3.3l solara v6, that thing's simply a monster.

if the tC is a serious option, I would suggest waiting for the TRD supercharger to become a factory option.

A Monster? By who's standards? A soccer moms?
ha ha.. thanks guys, all those are helpful, from judging from my list I am sure all you guys knows that i am not planning to spend anything over 30K canadian, if you guys can find me a G35/RX8/Solara/WRX for that price range, let me know

But I will definitely look at the Accord Coupe that Henry suggested. And yes, I don't know if I want another VW since I have the Audi already. I agree, the GTI is a great car, but I really don't know if I want another VW (yet I have 2 Toyota already and I am considering a third one  )

Do they even sell the scion here in Canada? I would LVOE to see one of those.....
I'd go with the GTI 1.8t, or definitally consider the scion brand. :)
