has anyone ever replaced the coils in their camry? i was just wondering if this was a necessary maintenance procedure....thanks

Although they do go bad occasionally, I would not consider them a normal maintenance item.

i think it doesnt require mantenance.. i too also want to change or do soemthing with the coils
i mean i change out the filters, oil, fuel filter, spark plugs etc... but nothing for the coil pack

You can test the coil packs before changing them, i'd do that first. Chances are you dont need new ones, they dont often go bad - they are not a normal replacement item like spark plug wires etc.

Coils are very expensive. So check to be sure. I agree with others, these are not normal maintenance items.

Coil pack is designed for the life of the vehicle, so it is only replaced when they fail. It is not considered a wear item.
